Hi everyone,

My name is Laura Soler and below I will give you a brief explanation about my professional life.

I have been working professionally for approximately 15 years. Currently, and for the past two years, I have been working as a teacher in a public vocational training institute.
I have previously been working in the collective catering sector, carrying out multiple tasks such as preparing menus for schools, nurseries and homes for the elderly; review and update of food safety documentation (prerequisites, HACCP, quality certifications…); training of kitchen staff on food safety, etc.

I have also been a university professor, on the one hand being a collaborating teacher at the UOC, specifically in the master’s degree in nutrition and health (collective nutrition subject) and on the other as a tutor for external practices at different universities, on the one hand at the UOC. itself, and on the other at the University of Barcelona and the University of Navarra.

I am currently doing voluntary work related to the world of nutrition and dietetics, I am a member of the ELLLC Committee of the EFAD The European Federation of Associations of Dietitians and of the Collective Restoration group of the AEND (Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics). I produce documentation on nutrition and dietetics and food safety to make it extendable to health professionals and the general population.
I have also participated by voluntarily writing articles on nutrition and dietetics and collaborating with the association of renal patients (ADER) in preparing diets and nutritional guides for this group.

My education and training has been continuous and my wish is that it will continue to be so. I have a diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (NHyD), a degree in Food Science and Technology (CTA) with three masters degrees (food safety, nutrition in physical activity and sports and care for people with diabetes). In the 2022-2023 academic year I studied the university Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching and I am currently studying, part-time, the third year of the doctoral program in health and psychology at our university (UOC) specifically on nutrition.
