Reflection on the learning and competencies:
Reflecting on my learning experience on this course, I can say that it has helped me a lot to
develop the competencies described in the programme. I have had the opportunity to learn the
fundamental concepts of academic discourse, including its structure, organization, and the
importance of coherence and cohesion. This knowledge has helped me improve my ability to
produce clear and coherent oral texts, adapt my language to different registers and audiences,
and use communication strategies to engage my audience.
Throughout the course I have learned to adapt my message to the needs and characteristics of
my audience. This has been a great help in my academic work, as it has allowed me to
communicate more effectively with my colleagues and clients.
Overall, I feel much more confident in my ability to effectively design, develop, and present
academic discourse in English. These skills will undoubtedly be beneficial in my future
academic and professional endeavors.
